I began painting in oils.  It was years before I discovered watercolor.  It proved to be so interesting to me that I decided to learn more about it.  Since then I have taken watercolor workshops and master classes with such teachers as Zoltan Szabo, Jeanne Dobie, Betty Lou Schlemn, Don Getz and Carlton Plummer.  Now I have painted in watercolor for 20 years. My paintings are in many private and corporate collections in the US and Europe.

I paint to understand and share the beauties of nature. I'd like the viewer to have an accessible image but to continue to find interest in pattern, texture and light that goes beyond just subject matter.
