Mary Fran has studied the art of watercolor with well-known and gifted artists: Peter Huntoon, Cheng-Khee Chee, Tom Lynch, Frank Webb, Tony Couch, Skip Lawrence, Arnie Westerman, Fred Lower, & Jeannie Podolak.
She was also most fortunate to take lessons, many years ago, from the renowned oil painting artist, Robert Frick.
Mary Fran is a member of the Vermont Watercolor Society, The Brandon Artist Guild, The West River Artist Guild, The Killington Artist Guild, The Society of Vermont Craftsmen & The Vermont Craft Council.
Mary Fran's love of teaching has inspired her to share her passion for painting with students of all ages by providing private and small class watercolor instruction.
She has also taught larger classes at a local college, at Rutland Town Community Centers, and at Rutland Regional Medical Center's Woman-To-Woman for Cancer Survivors.
She has organized Spring & Fall watercolor classes for Peter Huntoon for many years.
She was the Show Coordinator for the Vermont Watercolor Society, and other local shows in the area.
Mary Fran is presently manager & proprietor of Vermontart Watercolor Workshops.
A special thank you to Peter Huntoon, whose gifted instruction has inspired his many students to this beautiful medium of watercolor.
